Charles could take another name, which is the right of the monarch. Do you think he would do that? If so, what name?

More likely, however, he will keep his name. What will his full name be? What will be the number after his name? (I think its 'III', but I am not sure.

Thanks.

Charles, when he becomes King can rule under any of his First names (Charles Philip Arthur George), he has expressed a wish for George VII (to honour his Grandfather George VI) rather than Charles III.

Prince Charles will be called King Charles III.
If Henry ever gets to be King he will be called Henry IX.

I would be a bit surprised if he went with Charles - the name has a bit of bad karma, what with the English Civil War and all.

My guess is that he'll go with George VII - George is one of his middle names, and his grandfather and great-grandfather both used George as their regnal names.

For some reason, I think it might be "King Charles." But I could be wrong. It might be "King Camilla's Hubby."
