She does nothing. She holds contempt for people who lay on lower ranks of society. She has continuously lived as a spoiled brat.

She gives American women a bad image.

Enough?

I think so many people have such an intense dislike for Paris Hilton because they view her as an individual who has no respect for the working class, since she apparently has not held a job. I think a number of people view her as a spoiled brat who expects to have everything handed to her.

cuz she a spoiled biitch. She suppose to be a heiress to the Hilton Empires, however she made a sex tape, Her IQ is a 1, she does drugs, she parties, she's a drunk, she spends momm and daddy's money, she doesn't wear panties and she's in jail. She's a disgrace. She thinks she can get everything she wants by money, especially that little house arrest incident and cutting 45 days to 23. This is a immature behavior and NOT what a heiress should do. She should take the sentence just any other criminals were obligated to do.

Now if she admits these mistakes and vows to never do it again, that's a sign of maturity and she will go well. Same goes for Lindsay. She's next.

I can only tell you my reaction as a realist philosopher; and I purposely am not reading the answers supplied by others, whether supporters or detratctors so I can deal only with the evidence I know.

Ms. Hilton is a human zero in one area: the merit of achievement.

She has no reason to be followed obsessively or even once-in-a-while by postmodernist reporters or by any other crackpates.
She cannot sing, dance, act, talk, think, nor do anything else highly-perfectly at present. And whatever publicity she has been handed was not earned by any action of value to any mind on this planet.

Even if she were a real actress, her notoriety would rest on mediocre regular features, thin limbs, and a lack of charisma mixed with appealing to prurient or salacious interests. Her "fame" reminds me of Farrah Fawcett's, the worst actress on TV's"Charlie's Angles", when she was invited to appear on the Oscars--even though she had never appeared in a featured role in a movie until that point.

I find the entire breed of merely attractives disgusting, revolting artistically and beneath my notice or contempt.
I hope she finds the right medicines and rehabilitation facilities. She has been paid more for doing absolutely nothing than the greatest talents in this countries have been permitted (by the non-defining tsars of media conglomerates) to earn in a lifetime of hard-working brilliance and striving.
She has been made, through only some fault of her own, into a symbol of everything that is wrong with the United States and with its impractical public-interest so-called leaders, right-wing press and gullible citizenry.
She does not matter, since she has created nothing of lasting worth in her brief lifetime; what does matter is that the sort of minds who find her valueless ness and nullity important are running our nation--over a cliff.

I don't share their dislike, incidentally. I feel a bit sorry for Ms. Hilton.

I think they dislike her because she has fame and fortune and has done little or nothing worthwhile to deserve it. Most of us bust our tails to earn a fraction of what has been handed to her on a silver platter, and she has not given us much of a reason to think she appreciates what she has.

I suspect she may have some feelings of guilt over this, and she must certainly realize that she is projecting a very dysfunctional life. I hope she straightens out. I don't think she's a bad person, just one who doesn't appreciate the blessings that have come her way.

From comments I hear, that are verified by some comments made here, people seem to dislike the fact that she was born into a wealthy family, and apparently has not been forced to be held accountable for her actions, which are made far worse by the glare of the media, I'm sure. When I was younger, I made mistakes, bad choices, and a few bad decisions. Gee, it was barely noticed.

Because she is rich and famous solely on the fact that her last name is Hilton. I don't dislike the girl, but I also don't think she should be any ones role model either.

I think alot of people don't like her because she is a heiress. She got famous for being young and rich. Her main talent is partying, going to red carpet events, dressing up and playing cute. She managed to turn herself into an IT girl. The unfortunate thing is she hasn't been very wise, but then again she is 26.

Simple because she is a symbol of the idle rich. She has every possible advantage and does nothing worthwhile with any of them. She is more sad than anything in my opinion.

She's famous because she's a rich, spoiled, party-girl who "owns" the phrase "that's hot", thinks she's a celebrity because she hangs out with actors, and doesn't do anything with much worth. She seems to think that because she's rich and pretty (in her own opinion), that the rules that apply to us mere mortals don't apply to her.
