If it's physical damage from rocks, there really isn't anything you can do except hope they heal. It's a good idea to keep the water very clean to help prevent fungus or bacterial infections from setting in, but beyond that there isn't anything you can do to speed the healing.

I really recommend a product called MelaFix. You can get it at Wal*Mart, it's easy to use, and works for a number of ailments and here they are (as listed on the bottle)
*Fin and tail rot
*Open Red Sores
*Open Body Wounds
*Eye cloud, Pop Eye, Body Slime, Mouth Fungus

If the fish is too far gone, not much of anything will help, but raising the water temperature to around 80 degrees can be beneficial as well as adding medicine (such as MelaFix). It's about 8 dollars for a good sized (8 fluid oz) container and it lasts for a long time. I don't recommend any of those other little fizzy tank buddies or anything like that. They've never worked well for me.
If you can separate the fish, with either a partition or a "hospital tank" it may help with recovery if other fish in the tank are picking on it. Good luck and I hope your fish recovers.

he might be sick from what they call "ick". domestic fish get that. its from the bacteria in the water. you will probably lose the fish, but you can get more. get you some algae eaters to help keep the tank clean in between scrubbings. and make sure that all of the fish you have are compatable with each other or else they will eat each other. and take any and all sharp edged objects out of the tank. that way when they rub against anything they wont get cut or anything.
