how do you find a dipole moment?

basically i'm trying to find the dipole moment between a proton and electron at rest, they are x meters apart. my book doesn't really explain dipole moments, so any help would be awesome!

The magnitude is the p charge times the p-e distance. It's in the direction of the line connecting the two, towards the proton.
