Logan was 19 out of the top 100 names in 2006
Logan was 47 of the top 100 names in 2006 in California
Logan was 45 in 2004 in the San Francisco bay area

I do not think, in California, they will be three Logan's in your son class
If you love the name, it should be okay in California

I know quite a few guys in their 20's named Logan. I know 1 six year old and 2 five year olds named Logan. 1 is a girl. For some reason I feel like I am missing someone else I know with the name...

It is pretty popular in my area but not anything ridiculous. I would really think hard about it if you want him to be the only one.

OK, I looked it up on one of those "baby name" websites and it listed the top ten baby names of 2006 and Logan was on it. The ironic thing is I named my son Logan and he was born 6/24/06. So I think this pretty much answers you question.

You know, I love the name myself....But I have to say I hear it all the time now! I personally have 3 friends who have names their sons Logan (all under the age of 3).

I live in south western Ohio and I only know 1 Logan and she's a girl. I like it a lot for a boy and I don't think it's overly common.

I think you should be fine with Logan its a good name and not to common at all me and my girlfriend have looked through so many baby books for names that are different if we have a boy we are naming him Xander and if we are having a girl we are either naming her Willow or Brooklyn my gf is due in December. (14 weeks today) and congrats to you

I am a teacher and I live in Michigan...I've never had a student named Logan and I've never known/met anyone by the name Logan.

Hope that helps; it's a nice name!

It was common in the Seventies because of "Logan's Run" and it might be common among babies again now because of Logan from the X-men.

It's not that common, I can only think of 2 Logans (one is the grade above me, 10th, and the other is in my brother's grade, 4th). Don't go with Jacob, or Jake, it's my brothers name and he know 4 others from school.

i think three Logans in one class is slim. However, youll never know until it happens :) i like the name. and obviously you do too! go for it if you want!

my mom named me Rachel because at the time it was very rare. However - it seems as if everyone around that time was thinking the same thing and now there are many RAchel's around my age. So. worry less about that and more about what you and your family like.
