Linear ratio is 1:700

Area is quadratic
quadratic ratio is 1:700²

Therefore using a proportion

Let x = the surface area of the real container

1/700² = 276/x

x = 490,000 * 276

x = 1.3524 (10)^8 mm² or 135.24 m²

(10^6 mm² = 1 m²)
.

Length ratio = 1:700
Area ratio = 1^2:700^2 = 1:490000
1/490000 = 276/x
x = 135,240,000mm2

1000mm = 1m
1000^2 mm2 = 1^2 m2
1,000,000 mm2 = 1 m2

x = 135240000 / 1000000 = 135.24 m2
