Don't know about the Army, but people who love America know that we need as many immigrants as we can get in this country.

You can't have it both ways. Jobs will go to other countries, or the workers will come here to do the jobs. If we don't want to have our butts handed to us by India and China, we should be legalizing as many people as we can.

As for the 'legal' question, think of speeding laws. Should we commission a traffic gestapo to seize the cars of everybody who drives faster than the speed limit? Of course not. Speed limits are by and large too low. Bad laws. Everybody knows it and nobody follows them.

All of the preaching should cease. We need to fix our immigration laws so that we can welcome immigrants from wherever they are. Blame the feds for the stupid, unenforceable laws of the past.

I think you're probably in error with your theory, but where else is the Armed Forces going to get recruits. Bush's debacle in Iraq isn't exactly the poster campaign to lure US youths into the military.
