I would like to get an MP 3 player but I dont know anything about them.

mp3 player is a device that plays audio files usually in a mp3 format, but it can play other formats as well (wma, aac). you can buy songs through various online stores such as itunes, or import songs from your cd. the most popular of the mp3 player is ipod by apple. ipod can play songs, movies, hold pictures, etc.

It's a small portable device that plays music. some of todays players, like iPods also have videos and pictures as well. you simply put songs on it, and then listen to them on the go, or wherever you are. you can get the music from just about any source- CDs, downloads like iTunes, etc.

you have diiferent types of mp3 players in market. what do you want a portable one or one which every one in the house can use it.
mp3 player is used to play songs. nowadays one can find players that can play different formats. choose a branded one. if possible go for sony.

mp3 players play music files( mp3, wma ,aac,ogg.....etc)
some players that can play videos and view photos are no longer mp3 players but mp4 players eventhough they are retailed under the mp3 player name.....
