the part that the filter goes over. Now it is making a noise like it has water hitting the fan, and I have soap suds coming out of everywhere. What can i do.

as long as the condensate drain isnt clogged, the water and suds will run out. The noise is annoying but not dangerous. Next time use a rinseless evaporator cleaner, it will dry itself. Its good to see someone doing routine maintenance on their AC without a problem being present-good for you.

Don't use so much detergent.
The noise is the soap suds being whipped by the evaporator fan blade. No danger.
It will eventually go away.
Try spraying some water with a spray bottle on the front of the coil, not the filter.

Well, if it is a in the window air conditioner and there is a lot of humidity in the air they will tend to make a little water, so don't freak out.
If you have a wet vac you can vacume out the water from the aluminum fins and that might help. I imagine you have soap residue and water in the fins and it is going to blow out for a while. You can always lay some towels down on the floor and let it run also and perhaps carefully wipe the fins, without bending them.
Lastly, feel good about cleaning your air conditioner and don't worry so much about the bubbles, they can trap nasty alergins such as mold spores and such and cause you health problems, so it's a good idea to keep them clean.
hope this helps

Check that the condensate drain is not clogged by the gunk you stirred up during the cleaning. Standing water in the condensate pan is probably being slapped by the fan and making the bubbles from leftover detergent in the water there. Clear that drain and it will empty. Just soaking up water with a towel won't help in the long run because it will fill again with condensate on the enxt humid day.

Rinse it some more, or just wait until it drys itself out, you didn't hurt anything they need to be cleaned, just with not so much soap.

sounds like the drain tube is stoped up check it and if you can take the unit outside and with a hose wash the front coil off that should fix it.

call the local air conditioning repair person......they can help you out. next time, DON'T scrub your a.c. unit (whether it was a window unit or the one that does the whole house and is outside)
