Ok so let's face it, some one has to say it right? When ur on ur period and ur changing a pad the smell is HORRIBLE!? yes? I think so. And even though ur clean (u shower, and change pads regularly) the smell is still there! ugh! What if they made something like this...scented pads! Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could find a way to make pads smell more sweetly? Like for example, a rose scented pad or sweat pea. And so on. lol. Or MAYBE another idea some kind of pad "deodorant" so the pad wouldn't smell so badly when your changing it. Am I a genius or what? lol! Star if you like it, tell me what u think. :)

There are scented pads already out there, but having the fragrance there can cause problems. It's never been a good thing for me. Good theory, but I think washing and changing frequently are the best options for many.

Uhm, hate to break it to you, but they do make "scented" pads. Granted they don't have that strong of a smell, nor that great of a smell, but they have them.
Besides that, regardless of the scent of the pad, I think the smell from the blood, can't think of a nicer name for it, lol, would still cover up the "nice" smell of the pad.
If you're bothered that much by it, use tampons. It doesn't smell as bad, and they're actually easier to use..
And hey get this...they even make pads these days that come with a little wipe, like a mini diaper wipe for ya to use.

Patfish, they have came up with something to "stop" a period. Birth control, if taken all month long will stop a woman from having her period. There is even an exact pill made for that, though that one is so you only have four periods a year. I don't believe it's healthy for women not to have it every month though.

I agree totally and I will star you! ( so long as I remember....lol) I don't understand why women have to have periods to begin with....just gimme an egg and forget all the blood! But it would be great if there was something that could make it better. Pantyliners have scents so why not regular pads? Some say that it causes irritation....well if you have a sensitive hoo hoo then use the non scented ones....and give us that aren't scent sensitive a chance to have a good smelling hoo hoo at period time!

Well, I use scented pads by Always. They smell okay but yeah, you're right, when you change it, the scent on the pad doesn't really do anything.
But now they have those new pads by Always that have wipes with each individual pad so you can wipe every time you change it, I personally haven't tried it yet because I haven't used up all my pads yet but those look interesting.

What's the best is the new "Wipe" that comes with the pad.
Honestly, the "Stay Free" eliminates all smells from the pad. They're the only one's with the great 'smell proff' technology.

They do have scented already.
But chemicals aren't good for that area. Will probably make any problems you have there much worse.
I don't know what else to say, lol.
