Do you feel this too? I have been developing a core, true hatred towards any anti-Americans. I am not the type of person to ever do anything drastic, but does hating these people make me a bad person?

I love America, but am I taking it to far?

People should only judge people by their actions. I don't hate any country but I will tell you I dont like alot of people in my own dang country because I feel they are anti american. I live in an area where Somili refugess are becoming a big part of the population and I get irritated by those that insult them. I am only upset with the ones that feel we owe them something and they are living off the Gov't, I have met many however that have become some what Americanized (lol is that word) and are making a better life for themselves and taking advantage of the freedom by going to college, making sure their kids are getting a good education. Some want to better themselves here and go back to their homeland one day and make it better. I think we forget sometimes in America that all of our ancestors back to Columbus were immigrants to the United States. Hey I am not saying let them all in either. I can understand however why Cubans sneak into our country and Mexicans because they see the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Doesnt make it right but I can understand it. I feel blessed to live in my country and to be born here. Americans in general take much of what we have for granted, me included. People should never be judged for what they are rather then who they are on the inside. I wish everyone had that attitude. I would be almost scared to go to the UK now because I hear so many say that Hate Americans. I wish someone from the UK could meet me and become my friend so they can see Americans are not bad well some are but not all of us :o)

Think about this! True hatred for someone who disagrees with your opinion is not reasonable. It's all well and good to be patriotic but this is carrying thing to far. I am an American and I can't say that I am too proud about some of the things that our govt. is doing accross the world and at home. The extension of military service without recourse. The torture and prison camps that are CIA sponsored in foriegn countries. These are not things that the good guys are supposed to do. Hey, Remember that? We used to be the good guys! Ask just about any member of any foriegn country these days if the United States is the good guy and they will laugh in your face. Now don't hate me for having another opinion. I still think that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world. But........ I think that the leadership of our country has taken a wrong turn somewhere. I think that we have stopped leading people and countries to make the right desicions and instead we now try to force our perspective on others who have every right to their own way of life.

Many times I despair at the damage being done to the precepts of the Constitution. Its bad enough that we have to fight to keep taxes, the laws and crooked politicians from taking away our freedoms. But I have always had this naive idea that our constitution should apply to everyone in the world. That all people should have the opportunity to Life, Liberty and the persuit of happiness. Even though they don't necessarily have the same perspective as we do!! Please don't let yourself become a fanatic. Because, in truth, Thats what a HATER really is!

Ps sorry about the spelling the spell check failed "again"

Good question! I already gave you a star, because I am glad someone asked.
To begin with, hatred is not a nice word, no matter what, its not going to get you anywhere.
Second thing, we all have our opinion, you should be open about it and its healthy, you may want to look from others point of view, that's the most sensible thing to do.
I know and can understand your point and your views, but then you have to be "OPEN" about it, you cannot shut your eyes and run away, because by doing so you are being a coward.
My tip to you would be, DO NOT judge others, arguments are always healthy and educational, put yourself in others shoes and try to understand them, their points of views, that's the smart thing to do.

I am an American and I love America and what it stands for. However, I our government is far from perfect. It is one thing to be patriotic, but it is another to turn a blind eye towards the problems that we have and justify them by arrogantly proclaiming we are still the best country in the world.

It is normal to resent anyone who shows hostility toward you. You sound to me like you are patriotic and sick of putting up with people putting your country down. Now, take those strong emotions and turn them into something positive.

Hey! I'm a very proud Australian and I can fully understand how you feel. I don't like anyone rubbishing Australia or Australians, but I think the best thing is for you to do is ignore them, you are obviously very proud of your country and I am very proud of mine, I'm sure that's the way it should be.
Just let it go over your head, you know the real truth. ♥

Please think about this:
Every kid in every country in the world is brought up to be loyal to their family, loyal to their neighborhood & school, & loyal to their country.

The USA is a country, and maybe the only country in the world where freedom of speech is written right into the supreme laws of the land.

Different opinions are encouraged! Natural-ly not every one is going to agree what's best for his family, what's best for his neighborhood & school, & what's best {in their opinion} for the country.

Please don't take other peoples opinions personally!

Here is a great article by Congressman Ron Paul,,,,,Please Take the time to Read it.

It's very normal, which is why foreign
countries burn our flag and kill our
troops.
Telling other people how to live,
is the same as degrading their
country.
Sadly enough, there's as much violence
in center-city America, as there is abroad.
