How about you leave her alone? She is going through a lot of hormonal changes and is very pg so is GOING to be irritable. You should also learn to respect other people and there privacy. If she dose not want you to enter her room with out knocking then DON'T...

Easy, leave her alone. Yes, pregnant women are temperamental in the last trimester. You'd be too if you were swollen, uncomfortable and sleeping poorly! The hormones of pregnancy make a lot of women crabby.

So try changing your approach. Cut her some slack and don't look for reasons to get in her face.

Her life is going through some major changes and the next year will be rough.

In 3 months or so, she should be closer to her usual self. In the meantime ask her what you can do for her. Little things like helping with her chores, sharing a shopping trip or even a foot massage can go a long way towards bringing you closer as brother and sister.

And YES KNOCK FIRST! It's such a little thing for you to do, that clearly means a lot to her.

Just leave her alone when she wants you to. All that is because of her hormones. And just because her door is half open doesn't mean she doesn't want you to knock. Respect her and her privacy and she will do the same for you. She is going through a big physical and emotional change right now and it affects a lot of things. Be patient with her.

Pregnancy is hard physically and emotionally. Your sister is obviously not in the mood for your jokes. It's time to grow up a little. Treat her with respect. Respect her privacy. Knock if you want to see her, even if the door is open. Find ways to be helpful. Offer to rub her feet, or to get her a drink.

You may be nervous because you sense that your relationship with your sister is going to change. It is. But the sooner you get used to the idea, the better for all of you.

Another point, I might add, is that your SISTER is living in the SAME house as YOU are. That means she is NOT in her own home, as it "should" be when a young woman is pregnant. Either her b/f or hubby lives with your family too, or he has deserted her. Depending on the answer, you may be able to see why she is touchy. Regardless her life at the moment is not what she envisioned when she was a little girl and thought about being a "mommie."

She may be lonely, she probably fears the future, she has worries. Be a sweet bubba and bring her her favorite candy bar or ice cream, for no particular reason. When she asks why...just say..."cause you're my sis!" or whatever suits you at the moment.

She needs you now. Step up bubba...be there for her....someone probably isn't there who should be.

Peace be with you,
Annamaria

Stay out of her way!!!

Okay, serious... try a little compassion. She's going through raging hormones, not to mention the physical aches and pains of being 7 mos pregnant. You admitted to sometimes doing things just to annoy her, so how about just being pleasant? If you can't be pleasant, just act like wallpaper. Being pregnant isn't easy, so she's not the most patient person right now. It's almost over, just hang in there and try not to be annoying on purpose.

Good luck.

Ummm... Lets see. She has a human inside of her kicking and punching her insides at all hours. Her hormones are out of control and she probaly feels like a blimp. Leave her alone. Stop trying to annoy her. She is already annoyed enough. We are lethal when we are pregnant! believe me, I am pregnant now and I have a 2 year old already. We hate being picked on or bothered. Just be extra nice to her and it will pass.

Being pregnant is hard but its still no excuse to be rude to anyone. There are times when you are pregnant when you can get cranky yeah, but being a witch all the time is wrong. I have been through 3 pregnancies and tried to treat everyone around me the way I want to be treated.

Pregnant women are very hormonal, as you may have discovered. Don't take it too personally, as it is just a temporary condition. Instead of bugging her though you might try doing something nice and unexpected for her.
