Don't put them back in. They are aggressive fish and will do better with fish that are less "finny". You can put them in temporary housing until you can take them back to the pet shop.

Puffers are brakish water fish. This means that they need a little salt in the water. Don't use table salt, it has too much Iodine in it. Use sea salt,or get some salt from your pet store. About a tablespoon per gallon should do it. It shouldnt hurt the danios. Put your guppy in the bowl. Make sure not to keep him there too long unless you can filter the bowl. The danios and the guppies are compatible. The puffers need completly different conditions. Brackish water fish live in areas where fresh water mixes with sea water. Because of this the water isn't really salt water like the sea,but it's not fresh water either. Puffers are known to be fin nippers. I'm sure you have noticed that the puffers are quite slow so they won't catch the danios. I'm suprised that the people at the store where you bought them didn't tell you about them. In the future you might want to do a little reasearch on the fish you like before you buy them. It seems that the store where you bought them is some what unscrupulous. Hope this helps.

Put them back and move the guppy out to the largest bowl or container you can. The puffers need the stable tank environment and would die by Friday most likely. The guppy has a far better chance of living in a small container than the puffers.

You can't keep them in a bowl they will die fairly quickly, they are very very sensitive to ammonia build ups.
Take the Dp's back to where you got them. They are aggressive fin nipping monsters in a tiny 1" package.
They are awesome pets though, you need to keep them by themselves.
The guppy can stay in a bowl for a day or 2, no more than that. Till you get rid of the puffers.

Not a fish bowl, definitely. They can live in aquariums, but are not considered a good fish a novice as they are sensitive to ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels. Also, most (but not all) puffer fish are not freshwater fish, and thus require a salt water tank.

i had 2 dwarf puffers and they will nibble off almost anythings tail, a bowl IS NOT a good idea coz they need very good water quality and if they temp. flunctuates they will die (i learned the hard way) i would put the guppy in the bowl

while samuel c is correct that MOST puffers in the hobby need brackish water, dwarf puffers are strictly freshwater and will die in a brackish aquarium, however guppies can quite happily go up to marine water(not really relavant i guess but i thought i'd throw that in there if you ever do decide to go to brackish aquarium)
