is it true that if i keep driving with the wheelbearings messed up that the tire can actually fall off the car,and can you change only 1 wheelbearing in the front or should you change both sides.thanks for your answers

very risky to wait too long to repair. the wheel might stay on but it will pretty much cause the wheel to flatten on its side.
I have the same car, same problem, got one side fixed on payday, got the other done the next week. I also was doing about 65 when the wheel fell off because of the cv joint.

These bearings are sealed units.If one side is bad you only need to replace that side.Once the bearing is loose or causeing noise or viberation the sooner you get it replaced the safer your driveing will be. Best of luck with your grand-am.

if the other side is still good,then i would only change the 1 side.i dont know if you will lose the tire,but its not good on it.
