The answer is still six.

First batter gets a non-homer hit and gets put out on the bases -- caught stealing, picked off, thrown out stretching, doesn't matter.

Second batter does the same thing.

Third, fourth, and fifth batters single. Bases are loaded.

Sixth batter hits a sharp grounder or liner that hits one of his baserunner teammates in fair territory before a fielder has had the opportunity to attempt playing the ball. Plunked runner is out, batter is credited a single, baserunners only advance if forced by the batter-runner -- i.e., bases stay full (momentarily, as the third out has been recorded simultaneously). Six hits, no runs, three left on base, inning over.

if 2 batters hit safely than get threw out stealing, thats 2 then 3 more hits before the 3rd out. my guess is five but im not that smart. and the runners would have to be very slow not to score on the 3rd hit!!

5, not 4. For example, single, caught stealing, single, caught stealing, then 3 singles in a row to load the bases. 5 hits, no runs.

4: 3 hits to load the bases. Then a double play, then 1 more hit to have the bases loaded again before the defense records the last out leaving them loaded.

you could use walks instead. walk one, walk two, walk three bases loaded, double play, walk four, walk five, bases loaded again, out to end without giving a run
