I don't know that I'd remove either. Ethics and morality are the basis for the laws that we have to protect people.

Removing a single bad law isn't going to help much. Here's what I'd do.
I'd add a third House to Congress. It would not participate in legislation. It's main job would be to REPEAL federal laws, those parts of the US Code subsequent to the Constitution. The House of Repealers would have the power to REDUCE (but never raise) the pay of Senators and Representatives during any year in which too many new federal laws were passed. They would also have the right to impeach any Senator or Representative for any sort of corruption. (The US Supreme Court would try the impeachment.)

Sorry to inform you that your question is a legal, not a moral or ethical one. But I would probably adjust the speed limits on some highways. We need limits, but there are some places where 90 mph (legally) would more than likely not be all that unsafe. However, I need to look at the statistical correlation between speed and traffic fatalities before I make up my mind.

The age law---If you are considered old enough to fight in a war and kill people at 18, then you should be considered an adult that is able to have alcohol or tobacco if that person chooses to. A person of 18 is suppose to be an adult by law>>treat them that way !

Drug laws have to go. Its not because I want to encourage or even condone drug use but the 'war on drugs' is a total and abyssmal failure.
Drugs are a problem but declaring war on them is just plain stupid. Its a medical problem not a legal problem. The only reasons that there are violence associated with drugs are that its illegal and cops use guns.
If I break my leg should I go to jail or to a hospital? Well, why are we putting drug addicts in jail?

just read an article today- a 17-yr old had CONSENSUAL oral sex with a 15-yr old. his sentence...8 yrs and register as a sex offender for life. what law would i change? that one. then i would sue the system for violating my privacy. oh and another one...the illegal sale of sexual toys and the one that says two consenting adults cant perform certain sexual acts in the privacy of their own homes. sometimes, that intimacy can open the door to awesome openess and communication, which as we all know the "system" doesnt want us to have...

The jail system has failed ... so it's not the laws, but rather the "Correctional Facility" that I'd be focusing on.
