It really depends on what you're interested in. If you like medical stuff, try The Hot Zone, by Preston, about the ebola virus. If you're a feminist, try The Handmaid's Tale, by Atwood. If you're just looking for a beach book, Dick Francis writes excellent mysteries. If you like science fiction, try David Weber. Alternate history? Try Eric Flint's 1632. Enjoy!

Me and my daughter watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic !!!!!! It's the most epic show ever, and I'm a guy who likes to watch bloody and gory horror movies, very awesome action movies, and very cool science fiction stuff, but this is the most awesomist show ever !!!!!!!!! Lucky, unlike the other 5 million dudes between the ages of 17 and 42 who watch the new My Little POny: Friendship is Magic cartoon, I have a daughter as an excuse to watch without feeling shame.... Rainbow Dash is my favorite pony, she makes awesome 20% cooler Pinkie Pie became my second favorite since that Party of One episode came out and I seen the insane side of her, which was so cool Twilight is still one of the best because se motivates me to read more books, and I have been doing at very successfully now, and I'm starting learn a lot more now about american history, geography, and astronomy... Fluttershy is the cutest out of all tree and I find her very adorable and lovable, just like my daughter... she reminds me of my daughter so much Applejack and Rarity I don't really like Much... There ye go, That's what me and my kid share, even though she doesn't get why I like the show so much more than her SO AWESOME

If you like reading non-fiction, about what goes on nowadays - I recommend these two -
1) "Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader"
written by Bradley K. Martin
2) "Rogue Regime"
written by Jasper Becker
These two well-written books give an insight about the North Korean Government.
Fiction?
Try all the books written by Clive Cussler.
The hero is Dirk Pitt, with his sidekick Al Giordino. These are well-written.

You don't give away your age, but if you're between 12 and 18 and like video games and best friends stories I think you might like my novel GAMEPLAYER: The Genesis Portal.
GAMEPLAYER follows the adventures of Nine-dog, Gator and Louie; three racially diverse buddies growing up in the skateboarding, video gaming obsessed Santa Monica, California beach life-style.
Just a suggestion,
Gary Anderson

I love Christopher Moore. He is hilarious. Read Bloodsucking Fiends or You Suck. I just read A Dirty Job and laughed the whole way through. Check out his website. His books are great. Pax - C

Black Like Me-a magazine reporter chemically dyed his skin and wandered through the South. He didn't change his mannerisms or speech, just his skin color. What he learned was very interesting.
