39 weeks pregnant and one of my tires blew. Busy Northern California intersection, hot as hell outside, my husband was 2+ hours away. AAA took forever to find me. Any other time I would have changed the tire myself, but at 39 weeks I wasn't able. I didn't kick the car, but I did call her very bad names. I walked off and got a Slurpee.

what i don't understand is that when one person buys a GM vehicle, and has a problem, why do they think that every other GM vehicle out there is also full of problems? GM wouldn't be as big as they are if their cars were really as bad as some people, like you, say they are. The truth is, they are very good quality. Just because you went 12,000 miles without changing your oil routinely, doesn't mean that my Chevy, which i change the oil in every 3,000 miles, will have the same problems. Grow up. And as for that Phat Girl or whatever her name is, that is just about the most uneducated answer anyone could have given. If only she would have taken at least one economics class in high school before she dropped out.

Blowing my clutch out in the middle of the hwy. and number of miles from the closest anything, no cellphone, no mechanical abilities to even know what happened, and a dog and my 9 month old son in the car. Boy did I feel stuck!!! BUT Thank goodness a guy who had been behind me and saw what happened stopped and told me he'd call a tow truck for me as soon as he got home AND he did!!! There are still nice people in the world....and no I didn't kick the car but I kicked myself for having put off buying a cellphone!

My car overheated and I had to pull over. I was in a rural area in the middle of nowhere and it was stinking hot. I had no water and my dog was also in the car with me.
The worst part was that I heard on the radio that an armed escaped convict was on the loose in the bushland within a kilometre or two of where I was stranded!

My truck didn't break down but this last winter we had a bad snowstorm and when I went to switch from the right lane to the left, my truck spun to the side and I wound up on top of a median crossways in the middle of the road! I got stuck up there because that's where all the snow plows banked the snow. I got stuck blocking two lanes of traffic and I had to wait for a tow truck to come get me down! It was nerve wrecking because I couldn't get out of my truck and was afraid I was going to get hit by oncoming vehicles!

My fiance and I were coming home from an amusement park one evening when my Pontiac Firebird just quit on me on the highway.
We were literally adjacent to the murder capital of the USA at the time (East Palo Alto, CA).
*I was dressed like some yuppie wimp, and the sun had already gone down.
*This was before I had a cell phone, but we were within walking distance of a highway emergency lphone.
*A CHP officer was there within seconds, and nervously asked me if I knew about the area I was in (I did ...), and a tow truck was dispatched within about three minutes (no kidding ...).
*The tow truck driver asked me if I knew about the area which I had broken down in. He refused to tow the vehicle into any of the areas three exits (NOO prob. ...).
My fiance was oblivious to the whole thing (she wasn't from the Bay Area, and I didn't tell her about East Palo Alto until we were literally hundreds of miles away).
*I purchased another car, and gave the Firebird to her brother for parts (he towed back to his place in Sact., CA)
(;=]

Not sure if you could call it breaking down.... I was going up a side street during a snowstorm and a 16 year old kid hit me head on.... my car was demolished.... But luckily no one was hurt.....
And another time I was turning right into a mall parking lot and my CV joint broke... I had the driveway blocked off til the tow truck got there.....

When I was 16 I was at the drive thru at Taco Bell and my radiator blew! They wouldn't let me use the phone( this was 11 years ago, before EVERYBODY had a cell phone) So I was like okay, I will just sit here blocking your drive thru all night. They came out and pushed my car out of the way!!

I was driving 120km (+- 74mph) on a highway and the stupid thing cut out on me. No I did not kick it, but I did use lots of creative adjectives. I had enough momentum to get it out of the way. Traded it in for my current car. Will be trading this one in for a new SUV soon...
