After you read it, you probably won't want to respond, because it's only popular to hate white people. This recieved NO MEDIA COVERAGE. Why is that?

That was horrible!! Those people had to be full of hate to do such a sick and despicable act, but I don't see where it could be categorized under the legal definition of a "hate crime".

Why do you feel that race had someting to do with it? Where do you get the idea that it's okay to hate white people? I don't feel that way, and I certainly don't think most other people feel that way. Murder is murder. There are people of all races killed by people of all races and only Lord knows why ANY of them do what they do. Not all cases get big media coverage, but of course that doesn't make them any less important. I had never heard about this terrible crime, but I also haven't heard about thousands more that you haven't listed. Regardless of why someone hates, it's all still hate. I put it all in one category because hate hurts all of us.

Did you read the whole thing? You say it got NO MEDIA COVERAGE when it clearly did get media coverage. Then the talks about the high profile cases involving white people that were covered A LOT! Just because that one incident didn't get as much media coverage as you thought it should doesn't mean it wasn't covered. This could be a hate crime and those men should be punished as much as possible. I don't care what color any of them were! It was a horrible crime and I feel sorry for the victims and their families and I hope those men get what they deserve!

It was a horrendous crime, but unless the motivation for killing the couple was based on race (ethnicity, actually), then no, it is not a hate crime.

Unless I missed something, I didn't see anywhere where it said these murders were racially motivated.

As for why the media didn't cover it, who knows? The media is run by a bunch of sensationalists who are more interested in who Paris Hilton is having sex with this week (which would have to be an inmate about now, huh?). Don't try to understand the media. There's no point.

Hate crime or not, these people need to have their life ended as a punishment. They have no redeeming qualities and should never enter our society again.

I don't know what their motivation was and would not be surprised if it was hate. I would not object at all if they were tried for hate crimes.

As far as the media coverage goes, we had a crime spree in my city that had two families killed and other murders linked to the killers. It did not receive national coverage either. Did you hear about this case?

I was surprised that this case didn't garner more coverage because it had all the elements to make it "newsworthy", beautiful, popular family and a young child.

Any crime like that should be considered a hate crime, regardless of the races of the victim or perpetrator. That conduct is incredibly inhumane and should not be tolerated by any one toward any one. I am shocked it didn't get more media attention. I heard about this assault a couple months ago from a friend of mine and I'm still shocked about it.

Maybe...I would be interested in what the murderers have to say about their motivation behind the killings--that would be revealing. And I would be interested in the specifics of any of these guys' past crimes--which races were targeted, etc. Does sound like a hate crime, though.

If it really happened it should have been shouted from the roof tops. Why don't you point this out to the media and get them to look into this, I think it should be looked into. Wrong is Wrong, Black or White!

Nothing but a hate crime. I don't know why it had no media coverage. Perhaps because it was so brutal and senseless.

wow. that was sobering to read. how horrible.

a hate crime? i think all the suspects hate people, period, to do something like that.

for god-yuk-yuks... imagine a loving god that allows crap like this to happen to good people.

yeah, it was part of god's plan to have all that happen to christopher before he was finally murdered, right? because it was part of his plan, and it was necessary.

this is just another example (of many) why cultism is pure nonsense.
