I'm just curious. It just seems rather hypocritical to lump all people into one category due to the actions of a few and yet claim that we should not *eh hem* scratch that... WILL NOT be held accountable for the actions of our ancestors (or family members, or just people of that race... ultimately anyone that isn't us).

I'm not pointing this towards any particular race and if the question is unclear, I'll try my best to make sense of it for you.

People should be held accountable for their own actions, and nothing more.

Every man wants a beautiful woman, but unlike women we are not deluded into thinking we can actually get one. Women often think that their looks or worth of a woman is far higher then they actually are. Hence why you see so many people posting about women's sky high expectations of men. A fat balding guy without a good job will not be trying to date a beautiful model that is making 100k+. It is well known that men tend to date 'down' and women want to date 'up'. I wish I was in college with a 60/40 ratio! That would rock compared to 50/50 ratio. What guy is complaining about that? Men choose women and women choose men. We are both equal partners when it comes to choosing people for marriage, both of them said 'I do' at the altar. So why do divorce laws favor women over men? Both sexes cheat just as much. Women are just better at not being caught at it because women are more devious then men. All your points = blown.

The one that does it. Not really sure where you are coming from so Ill hold off a bit. But let me say this in response to what I think your getting to. I know only a small portion of Arabs, maybe 10 %, are terrorists but because the rest say nothing to theses extreamist I have a hard time not saying all Arabs are bad people. In a situation as this, it's not hard to lump people. If one is not a part of the solution, they are part of the problem. Maybe thats why we lump people. Peace :)

every person needs to take full responsibilty for their own actions. There have been great people who have overcome all forms of adversity no matter the time or race. Nothing great becomes great without overcoming great obstables, its too bad people spend their time pointing their fingers at someone else and not using their energy to find solutions to the obstacles in their lives.

I think each individual is accountable to himself only, except if he chooses to violate the rights of others, then he is accountable to his victims in the extent of the damage done.
