Galactus eats worlds and The Surfer is his herald. The Surfer shows up to tell everybody to flee or die. Maybe Galactus is not in the cast list because he will most defiantly be C.G. animated, and probably has no dialog. Who cares anyway, The 1st Fantastic Four was lame, and this one won't be any better. They should have just made a Silver Surfer film.

Tim Story, the Director, has talked about this before. In some interviews he was saying that he was working on getting the effects for Galactus for the final cut and that you would see him in the film.
Of course there was no explanation of exactly how he was going to appear, and speculation is that he might appear as a cloud, although I'm not so sure.

I know Galactus will be in the movie because I talked with someone who already saw it in England.
Brace yourself if you haven't heard:
Galactus is not a giant with purple armor, instead he is a cloud in the movie. This has been confirmed and it is not a rumor.
I know....I'm disappointed too.

I really don't know because not only in the comics Silver Surfer was Galactus' apprentice and in the trailer they say "how can you fight something that can eat planet's?"

but i believe there should be a connection between silver surfer and galactus in the movie...galactus should have a part in the movie...

Yes, he is. There is a review on AintitCool.com that states he does in fact show up.

he should be but due to his size and the difficulty in making him i would bet he will get just a telepathic discussion or two with the surfer
