They have only heard one word in the whole of this
" Conservative "
The truth is that France's conservative party is far left of the left in the US is of no importance . The fact that France is a major player in Europe and that gives influence to the Americans (or so they desperately hope) in the EU Parliament in terms of missile shield defences etc - plays into this
It is dd to watch the French or anyone for that matter could call themselves Conservatives and then enact complete communist doctrines but they would be championed because they called themselves Conservative
This should tell you that the depth of Fox news is actually indicative of the depth shown by some in the upper levels of your government -
We hope those who lead are somehow smarter than the average bear but upon close inspection we find out they are no different that the guy who pumps your gas at 3 in the morning - They just have nicer suits and assistants -

Conservatives don't actually think, they just react. They have all the conclusions handed to them by Rush Limbaugh and thats that. Facts make no difference, reality doesn't count. They are very shallow, gullible people, incapable of analyzing fact situations. This is why when Rev. Sun Myung Moon wanted to buy influence in Washington, D.C., he started a conservative newspaper, which he still owns, the Washington Times. He knew that as long as he spouted the conservative nonsense in his newspaper the conservatives would reward him and his church.

Regardless of the Foreign Secretary, France elected a President who campaigned on a pro-US platform, Germany did the same thing.

Regardless, he is more conservative than his opponent was and some there are beginning to realize what those in Normandy have never forgotten--that if it weren't for the sacrifices of Americans, including my uncle, they'd be voting for a form of "Vichy France."

Conservativism employs hope and optimism, not gloom and doom. We are hopeful for the French.
