The Vision of Revelation was received by Saint John on the Greek island of Patmos.

"I was here alone in a house on the Isle of Patmos for several weeks to pray and seek the Lord. I found a little chapel - St. Nicolas's Chapel - where no one ever goes. Several times I went to the cave of John where he saw the great Revelation.

According to tradition, the Apostle John was exiled to Patmos, a small island just off the coast of modern-day Turkey. It is currently controlled by Greece.

I'm not sure which Island it was (one of the Greek Islands), but it was actually John (the revelator) who recieved the visions which make up the book of Revelations.
