A good question. A 'Men's Studies' section would be the ideal forum for this type of Q & A. But alas.......
I recently had occassion to post a question about "The Male Reprocuctive System". This is obviously analoguous to the subject.
Basical speaking a Man looses a degree of His 'self worth' at not being able to function/perform as He would otherwise wish. This is often compounded by society's blatent disregard for the feelings of Men, both as individuals, and as a gender. (i.e. 'jokes').
E.D. is more demeaning than debilitating, as oposed to the more comon conception that it is a life destroying, relationship testing, Manhood ending calamity. I suffer from Diabetes (II). Luckily I have had no effects. But I have seen the effects on many relationships. The divorce rate, initiated by Women, is staggeringly disproportional to the actual effect that a reduction in sexual activity should have on otherwise happy relationships. Society maintains that "all Men do is think about sex". Really? Well if that is the case then why is it that just when a Man needs the support of His partner, She wants to add to His anguish and emotional insecurity by deserting Him? Answer: Sex, and Her feelings of 'Self'.
Try asking Yourself this question: "Which is society more inclined to do, make fun of an impotent Man, or a barren Woman"? Think about it. Test Your own prejudices.
I will not give You My usual lecture. Suffice it for Me to say that there are plenty of resourse sites available on the Inter net.

2-3 times a day is NOT a masturbation addiction. Who ever told you that obviously has no idea what they are talking about. Most boys do it that much. You are nothing special. However masturbating frequently can cause you to be less excited when you go to have sex so cutting back will really help, however by no means do you have any sort of a problem with masturbating. 2-3 times a week is good. That's around every other day. So if you are having sex regularly with your partner then that should be fine. If not you can do it once a day. I think you are having problems with performance anxiety. You don't have ED. (ED has to last for at least 3 months before it's defined as an actual dysfunction) You need to learn to relax when you are with your partner and just let it come naturally. You are just over diagnosing yourself with all these issues making yourself believe you have a problem when you don't. Doing that can affect performance as well. So just relax when you are with your girlfriend next time and just have fun. Don't let anxiety about the act get to you. Most men have issues with this. When you are with someone you really care about it's hard to maintain an erection when with them. You just are over worried about dissapointing them or it not being perfect and it causes erection problems. -Connor

I suffer from this problem.. It's not funny.
I have Diabetes and one of the side affects is erectile dysfunction. With my Doctor's blessing, after a stress test, I was put on one of the many meds.
The meds allow for wonderful fulfillment for me any my wife of 34 years. I don't consider it a recreational drug and some sort of 'thinking ahead' is sometimes needed. I prefer the 36 hour type because it gives me some leeway when other things, like the phone or friends dropping by, interfere.
Men... Watch for the problem of an erection which does not go away. The way an erection works is a small 'valve' closes and stops the blood from exiting the penis.... think about lack of blood flow to any other appendage. It is a serious condition which requires medical a procedure to reverse.... and, I'm telling you now, a needle in a very sensitive place is NOT fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would mean a lack of sexual intercourse during sexual intimacy. My guess is it would be horrible for both he and his partner. What would your life feel like under these circumstances? It is not to difficult to imagine. God bless****
