If it's a bold question you are referring to...You can get the point across quite sweetly without offending anyone by saying, "Oh!, that's a little too personal for me to answer, sorry."
If it's poor behavior unbecoming the work place....just say..."Whoa! Good thing the boss didn't see that one." It will make them think the next time.
If it is because they are passing their work along for you to do instead....say..."I would be happy to help you as soon as I finish my own work load." That lets them know you are aware they are trying to pass the buck without being confrontational.
Works like a charm because you will have drawn the line. The trick is to be sincere, without sounding like you are accusing them of being bold.

Well I don't have a job, but in college when someone is out of line with a comment/action, I'm overly polite when pointing it out, but VERY clear in what I'm trying to convey. That way they can't get madd since its polite, but it puts them in their place.

Sure. I say 'Excuse me, I'm of the opinion that you are overstepping the mark' They say ' Oh, sorry. As long as I'm not out of line' I say, Nah but just watch it. Tea break over.

of course, I have every right to and I would expect that much from them if I were the one who was being out of line.

Absolutely! there's no point stressing about a situation that another person had created. Tell them straight. nobody owns you.

absolutely. No one treats me poorly or with disrespect and then doesn't hear about it. I'm assertive and confident enough not to allow myself to be bullied or manipulated. :)
