Mind control certainly works well that way, but doesn't do much for planning for the negative, does it. Positive is only half the human, but of course there is no such thing as half a human. Managing the negative in a positive way is not the same thing as negating the Judgment (the Judgment is negative, the Will is positive). Negating the Judgment diminishes the minds capacity to perceive the totality of reality and the ability to judge.
"Thus the life of God and divine cognition may well be spoken of as a disporting of Love with itself; but this idea sinks into mere edification, and even insipidity, if it lacks the seriousness, the suffering, the patience, and the labor of the negative." G.W.F. Hegel

You are learning the art of salesmanship very well.
Let us say your boss is as jerk and he is destroying employee moral and customer relations are far worse than they should be. What would you say to the president of the board of directors? Hum. Maybe you have a point because you could say, "What a wonderful event it would be if Jerky left his job. Think of all the opportunities it would open up for Jerky!" You could actually write him a letter of reference stating all the positive things he has done for the company. Regarding employee relations you could say communicates his positions well. Has unusually creative perspective. Works to engender customer awareness of company attitude.
And then after the next employer destroys his business he can send you a similar letter. Communicates well etc.

I would quickly mistrust you and doubt your integrity.
There is, I think, a difference in being 'brutally honest' and speaking to anyone with a bit of tact or diplomacy.
I wasn't clear on what the results were, but lying to me would only damage our relationship as friends. In very short order in watching you interact with others, I would notice the dishonesty and no longer trust you and your comments.
In the long run, you may pay a price despite any current pleasant feelings about this approach.

Postive and negative are only perceptions, not facts. What is positve to one might be negative to another (ex. if you are driving to New York, ending up in California would be negative. If you are driving to California, it would be positive). I think it's less about thinking about positive things, and more about feeling good.

I wouldn't like that. I would rather have someone hate me than pretend to like me.
