I'm looking for a psychedelia type sound. Or something Jimi Hendrix would use. P.S I already looked at the Hendrix pedal so don't suggest anything dumb like that.

a boss ds-1. used they go for 20-30 and worth every penny. avoid the dod and digitech stuff. boss pedals are designed to endure the end of the world.

Try a Distortion Factory, you get several different tones, and its only around $100.
