Can a person playing prophesies and someone else playing factions team-up together

Hello fellow Guild Wars player!
As you know, there are 3 campaigns for GW. Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. You cannot play with someone from Factions (if you are from Prophecies) if you also do not own factions, or if they don't own prophecies.
The campaigns (when you buy them all) will be linked together. To do this, just login and then enter the key code for the new campaign and there ya go! Once you do this, you take a quest to get from one campaign to the other....

It's possible for both of you to belong to the same guild and you could meet in the guild hall for scrimmages and I think you could also meet in the Team Arenas or Zaishen Challenges on the battle isles for some PvP games together.
However since you are on different continents you will not be able to adventure together thru the PvE storyline content unless one of you buys the other game.
