As long as a language is alive, in popular use, and is dynamic, there will always be new words being developed, and new meanings given to phrases. This is in contrast to a "dead" language, such as Latin. I mean, no one uses Latin except for a few words in law and science, and in Catholic religious ceremonies and documents.

Boondock, for example, comes from the word Bundok, which in my native Filipino means mountain.
