Mine is really painful and sometimes I don't enjoy the rest of the month dreading when it's going to start again. I am thinking about that birth control but want to know if anyone has tried it and what do you think of it??? Is it worth it?

Totally. There isn't anything wrong with taking birth control. It doesn't mean that you are being a skank or anything. Alot of girls take birth control to monitor their periods. It is completely safe and why not?

I have not, but there's a new one coming out next month that eliminates periods. It's a pill and I think it's called Lybrel. http://contraception.about.com/od/prescriptionoptions/a/Lybrel.htm I currently use depo provera and LOVE the no-periods side effect, however there are other side effects that I'd like to get rid of so I plan on asking my doc to let me try the new pill in Sept when my next shot is due...if I don't like it, I can always go back to the depo.

I haven't had a regular period in a decade. ☺

I have not taken Seasonale/Seasonique but I have several friends who have tried it. Some had very good success with it and others have tried it had a huge amount of problems with it.

I would recommend having your dr evaluate what they think is causing this. One possibility is that of endometriosis.
