Could the Timberwolves possibly buy Rashard Lewis's big contract and also trade Rashad McCants and Mike James for the third pick to get Mike Conley Jr.? That also all depends on the amount of money they have and it would be awesome to have conley, davis, foye, lewis, garnet, blount

no, the twolves are over the salary cap. but they do have some attractive trade pieces like ricky davis and to a lesser extent, eddie griffin who both have expiring contracts and our attractive to teams trying to cut down their salaries. they've already traded mike james to houston for juwan howard, which will give KG some help.

the hawks have the third pick and since they are under the salary cap, they might be willing to take someone good even at a high salary for the third pick. but i don't think they have much to offer the hawks (rashard mccants isn't worth it) especially since the draft is so loaded. but since conley jr. wouldn't go at 3rd anyway (you have better players than him at 3). so they probably should try trading with the celtics or the bucks. but again, i can't see the celts trading their pick unless they get something VERY good in return and bucks, to a lesser extent but still nothing on the twolves at this point would be enticing. unless they want to trade howard and someone else.

now there's a small chance they could still get conley at 7th, and even if they don't, they've got some good picks they could use as a draft day sign and trade. unfortunately with KG's huge contract, it's hard to make a lot of moves (at 22 mil, KG has the highest salary in the NBA).

That would be sweet to pick up Lewis's contract and that lineup would be nice...but I'm not sure you can trade James to Atlanta since he was just traded today. Juwan Howard is a nice pickup and who knows Conley may still be available down at #7...doubtful but I doubt he'll go in the top 4. I think they're most likely to end up getting a Corey Brewer or Jeff Green with the 7 pick. Both should mesh will into that group you mentioned.

You have great ideas, if only mr. taylor would be willing to spend the money he has pleanty of, to do these things.
maybe the league is not letting minnesota have a lagit chance to be the champs, seems we never have done well in the lottery.
We need trades and to spend money, but dont expect it to ever happen as well as you are showing those owners the answers,
I agree with you all the way.
If i wre you i would write letters to the Editors in the Twin city's newsspapers.

forget it...in order for timberwolves to get good they would have to go through a rebuilding process. and garnett should not be part of it.

Ship KG somewhere so he can get a ring...damn he deserves it
