Inheritance Tax would have been paid before the estate was distributed. This person may be a beneficiary of a Will Trust which enables the person to benefit from the income of an estate. In this case income tax would have been deducted before it is paid over.
There is no way HMRC would release this info to you - everyone's tax affairs are private.

Unless you are a Tax Inspector, the sort of information you are seeking suggests criminal intent.

If you have a legitimate reason for wanting this information, ask the person involved.

they would probably have paid inheritance tax when they inherited it, but if its a serious amount they would still be subject to pay the unearned income tax on the interest I'm sure
