I'm curious because I was considering either signing up for a salsa class, or reggaeton hiphop.

Salsa is very easy and fun. When I just started learning to dance, my salsa was among the first dances to look somewhat decent. LOL. I never tried a reggaeton class. I imagine it's not too hard either. If there is any way you can do both - I'd say BOTH!

Neither is hard if you can find the rhythm. Salsa does have a set of steps to learn but reggaeton is more freestyle. No specific steps to follow. Get used to the music, feel it in your body, USE your hips & let it go!!! Have fun :)

I like the salsa, there is so much music out there and the opportunities to dance it.

salsa is easy to learn but you should have your own style if you want to be good. it has several steps and tecniques in turnings. i would suggest you start with salsa
