I personally don't resent those who reminds me of my failures. I think for me, its better to forgive that person in a way where I can move on and stop mourning over what had happened. And when I say forgive it doesn't neccessarily mean, become friends again. It can just mean to forgive enough that when I see that person I don't hold a grudge and think about the failures that accrued when I was around that person. Now, I probably wont talk to that person ever again, but at least I let go of the pain and failures by forgiving that person in my heart.

No, I think they are really expressing shortcomings in themselves and probably they have poor self esteem that they feel the need to point out others weaknesses. They need understanding probably.
Also, it is important to consider the source of the information, is this a trusted loved one such as a parent, spouse or sibling? I would give their feedback far more consideration than say, someone on a chat group.

If I'm honest I feel a little peeved when people remind me of my failings - but then I think about it and realise its a good thing to be aware of them.
Oh, - and then I shoot the critical b*****ds!!!! Lol!!!

Kind of. Usually its because they have done something that I still need to do. But then I think to myself we are all different and cant expect the same from everyone. I shouldnt set my standards by other people.

That would be my wife. I learned to ignore it for too many years, but now I resent it.

Depends how they 'remind' me...if they are being facetious...I get my back up, if they're at least trying to be tactful and the intention is well-meant, I might let them live.

No because when they keep on reminding me it lets me know that next time I can do better.

No, I have a few. Better to be pointed in the right direction than carry on in self denial.
