I add butter and milk and use a non-electric whisk although a cordless drill would probably be easier =)

Butter and milk. Mash 'em with a fork.
If you use a cordless drill, does the thought of what the drill bit was last used for ever worry you?

I add butter, milk and a bit of sea salt and fresh pepper.
Normally I use an electric mixer, because it is so much faster, but sometimes I want that really home made texture and use the masher. I really like them creamy but firm. Sometimes if I only have instant....I use real cream or coffee creamer to zip up the taste. Again, sea salt is the secret.
Another idea is to add shredded cheese and garlic! YUMMMY
Great, now I'm drooling! Nana

No I use the original handmasher with butter and milk. Maybe I should use a drill, the kids may eat it then!
