Only if it's used for an email machine.

Make sure you have Windows XP Pro

Processor is ok
RAM should be 2GB
Hard Drive should be well over 100GB if you are thinking about storing any music or videos
DVD-ROM...Better now is at least a DVD/CD-RW
AGP is good to have
Slots are good
USB ports are good if they are 2.0

looks pretty good but it would probably depend what you want it for, someone else suggested the hardware was a bit dated, the specs are too low for gaming so itwouldn't be great for the latest games. But for a general word processing/Internet computer it would probably be quite good at a good price. If you wanted to store music and video you will need more harddrive space, but you could always buy an additional or an external harddrive.

its not bad price but just to be on the safe side i would turn it on frist and run a error disk check first, its good to make sure it works before you purchase it. especailly when buying a computer of someone and not from a store. also deos it come with a OS if so make sure its not older than xp or youll regret getting it. the average OS/operating system is around $60 - $200 even if you buy it on ebay. if this computer is on ebay and you want it check if its refurbished and check the sellers feedback score. i wouldnt buy a computer from ebay if its not refurbished or new.

$230?! You're not going to find anything in that price, and definitely nothing that's any good. You should be thinking of spending at LEAST twice that much.

The hardware is uninspiring and not up to date. It doesn't seem to come with a monitor. $210 isn't much.

I wouldn't call it a good deal, but it isn't a bad deal either. Just mediocre.

It is a pretty good deal but just remember that it is missing an operating system and will not have office on it.

Thanks,

not a good price, but a decent one.
before you buy it, check out dell's outlet.
for near the same price, you can get a very decent box with a warranty.
