I am 8.5 weeks and when I take my prenatal pills they make me vomit. Any suggestions?

I couldn't get them down either for a while. There are several different types. Tell your Doctor and he/she can give you the samples that they get from the drug vendor reps. I tries a bunch of different ones until i found one that I could manage. Also at one point my Doctor had me taking Flintstones vitamins because the iron was really backing me up and she said that was just as good - also cheaper! Good Luck and feel better.

I have a couple of suggestions. Since you already paid money for the prenatals, cut them in half. Take half in a.m. and half in p.m. If it is still making you sick, just take half once a day. Later on in pregnancy, you can go back to taking the full amount. If you are still getting sick (it's usually the iron) switch to regular vitamins. You are already past the point where folic acid is going to make a difference.
Now, some people will also suggest that you ask the doc for a different prescription. You can certainly do that, but the reality is that you don't really need the prenatals until later in pregnancy when anemia is often a problem. Regular vitamins will do. The Flintstone vitamins are usually recommended for women who have trouble swallowing pills and that doesn't appear to be your problem.

Take Them Right Before Bed With A Small Glass Of Milk Or Water... It Worked For Me...

I use spring Valley from walmart and there fine 4 me. Take at night with evening meal, i know its gross but if the pill is getting stuck, push salyva to the front of ur tounge place the pill there then drink with water. If ur ill, take a diff kind. Good Luck

OMG, they made me so nauseated with the two young ones it grew to become into ridiculous! i might weigh down them up and placed them in a tumbler of chocolate milk and take care of it like a chaser (a chocolate milk chaser, hehehe) It helped cover the flavor slightly, then i might lay down and moan for the subsequent hour all mutually as questioning that my young ones are going back out with 2 palms no longer 3 and it grew to become into worth it!! the 1st trimester is the main mandatory time to take your prenatal supplementations reason that's while each thing extremely starts coming up.

Take them at bedtime, with a snack. That may help. Personally, I have so much of an issue with them that I've gotten permission to not take them. Instead, I swallow 2 Flintstones vitamins each day!

Target Brand Prenatal is very easy on the stomach...try taking them at night also...

Your doctor can switch to a prescription prenatal vitamin that is made differently and won't make you sick.

YES this happened to me and my friend! I told my doctor and he told me to take my pills at night...it worked for me! I was usually taking them in the morning and with my Thyroid pills and this was causing me to get sick. I am ok now and that reminds me...I need to take my pills!
I am sorry, but you can't be allergic to vitamins.

Mine always make me sick so i did a few things that worked
i cut the pill in half..took half in the morning and half at bedtime
try taking it with orange juice it will help it absorb faster
or take it with food...if all else fails ..you can use flinstones :)
