In the middle. There are some women who are absolute heros in the industry. These are women who consistently give stellar performances, who have upped the ante in the business, who have created empires and are really strong businesswomen who take pride in what they do, and are unashamed and happy and healthy- women like Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Belladonna, so on. And then there are the real heroes, to me, the women who perform in films that display real true female sexuality, that give more realisitic depictions of sex and love and female bodies, who educate and teach in their films- women like Carol Queen, Tristan Taormino, Betty Dodson, any of the girls from Shine Louise Houston's Pink & White Productions, and so on.
And of course, there are the women who have been forced to work in porn, who don't want to, who feel ashamed and guilty about it, and so on, and while I wouldn't call them zeros, they aren't my heroes, except by the fact that they often endure a lot of hardship, and they do have my empathy for being strong enough to bear it.
Basically, I can't say that the women who act in porn films are all bad or all good or all neutral. It depends on the type of porn, the goal of the porn, her motivations for doing it, and so much more, that makes her actions good or bad.
Hope that helps.

As a woman I don't really care about the other women, I care about the other men. For me it is more the fact that I would never be with someone who was ever in porn, regardless of anything. I know everyone has there own situations for doing the things they do, but I feel sorry for the women. They will probably never get a real genuine man in there life, they will get what they are another porn star.

'zeros' is harsh. I don't know the women so I can't say what I feel about them - it would depend on what they were like and why they were doing it.
But they are not heroes. Or in the middle. I hate it, I hate that women do that - but I don't know their reasons for it so I can't judge them personally. It's like prostitution, what they are doing (in my opinion). It does not give them power. They have to 'fit' what other people want them to look like and to do, if they want to be successful. They don't choose 'how' they perform in porn films - so I don't see how they have power or liberation. Nobody cares about them (including the directors), they only care about their physical image. So these women cannot be heroes. I wouldn't want anyone I know to be in a porn film, so porn stars can't be 'heroes' to me.

To me its hard to pick where I would place them, so i will say 'the middle'
Firstly it depends on their situation as to if they are zeros or heroes.. Some do it because they feel liberated and feel its a powerful experience, others do it soley for money (hating every minute of it)
My personal opinion about porn in general however is,
I find it completely degrading to women, and the fact that they participate in reproducing unrealistic expectations about women sexually and 'physically' is what most upsets me.

Women who perform in porn films are zeros until some event comes about to change their life, something that makes them feel better about themselves. Many are porn stars because life circumstances have led to this action.

In the middle. You have to have zero respect for yourself to let yourself be degraded like that. They might not think it's degrading, but it is. The men are degrading themselves, too. Sex is not meant to be a spectator sport. Sex is going to become meaningless to them eventually and they will miss out on having a true, loving, intimate connection with a partner if they were ever to be in a relationship.

They are women with very severe emotional issues. Many of them are dependent on professional sex work to support drug and alcohol addictions. Many of them are in toxic relationships with abusive men. Almost all of them were sexually molested at young ages. So in general I see them not as "heros or zeroes," but more as sick people who aren't getting the treatment they need.

Personally I don't really care one way or the other. It's up to her what she does as a career and if it's porn then so be it. It's not something I would do myself. I'm not going to lie I have watched before so I can't be too critical.

I don't feel like you should degrade yourself in that way. You're worth more than that. There are many other careers I'm sure you'd enjoy.
