Several things must happen for the Chisox to turn it around. One, Joe Crede has battled back pain all year long and must get healthy or the Sox must find a temporary replacement. Two, the bullpen, particularly middle relief has struggled--hopefully Nick Masset can continue the good work and hope that the other guys work out their problems. Finally, Darin Erstad and A.J. Pierzynski have been the only consistent regulars (although Jim Thome has come-around lately). There is still plenty of time and some changes could occur after the All-Star break.

You don't need Georgie to tell you it isn't going to happen, I think you know it won't. The White Sox have a good team but they are in one of the best divisions and I don't see them finishing ahead of Georgie's Tigers, the Indians, or the Twins. Their pitching is fair but their hitters are on an extended Holiday.

I dunno. They are the most underachieving team in the majors this year. And I just heard that Crede may be lost for the rest of the season. Anything can happen; I just don't think that they have the horses to overtake Detroit no matter how well they might rally. I think that the front office better seriously 'take stock' at the end of this season and map out a plan to get this franchise back where it belongs.

I think they may start to play better, but the Indians and Tigers are way too good. In the end the race for the division title should be closer but I still think the Indians will win.

Sadly, they won't. It's a tough division to begin with, and the hole has been dug too deep. No hitting, an imploding bullpen, shaky starters, and now the injury bug is kicking in...a postseason run would be a miracle.

Nope, they're done. If the Royals can keep it this close until August, they'll overtake Chicago for 4th place in the division before the season ends.

they are done this year no pitching and no bats! why did they dismantle a championship team ? Guess us sox fans will just have to be satisfied with rooting for whichever team the cubs are playing. Thats all us sox fans have the rest of this year!

No way!!!!! Their team hasn't hit at all this year and they won't start. With Crede out and Thome just back slumping, they don't have a chance.
