really love the ibanez artcore series but im into rock, alternative, and pretty much every other style and i dont want to be limited because i love the tone. my other option is an sg but then id have to save up.

i was either gonna go for a faded sg or the standard, and im gonna have to save either way, considering im only making 500 this summer. it will be worth it though to not have the crappy epi bolt on neck.

the pickups allow for the signal to be processed into a distorded tone, like any electric guitar

hollowbodies are neat, but trust me...my SG is the best investment I ever made

just save up enough to buy the cheapest American made Gibson SG you can find...try to get one for around 6 or 7 hundred...

or save up for the standard at about $1100

happy saving, it'll be worth it, dude!

now, about that amp...

Ive got an Ibanez AS103 semi hollowbody, and if you know what you're doing, you can definitely rock with a hollowbody. Much warmer tone than a solid body, but significantly less crunch. Everyone needs @ least one in their arsenal.

Lots of older players used to use hollowbodies:

Alex Lifeson of Rush
Ric Emmett of Triumph
Ted Nugent

You get a warmer, fuller sound with a hollowbody, but they're more susceptible to feedback.

easiest thing to do is buy a dean markley inside the hole pick-up..easy to insert,,easy to remove.......and use an amp to distort it to your liking
