without the fuss of Deed Poll and how do you think that would effect your life?

I have changed my name...I couldn't stand the one that was given to me at birth and I like having the name I like...not some hippie name my stoned parents gave me!!

I don't want to change my name, I like it. But if I did and Deed Poll is our change your name court system here (I dont know what the department is really called, forgive me) I think it would be a hassle...
everyone knows u by ur current name
reprogram everyone to your new name
Prove to every account you have that your name changed but you are still so and so and maybe they dont believe you, your acct is now on hold.
all medical records have to be changed
and any other legal papers,
Ohh I have to stop...I'm creating more anxiety over this and I'm not even changing my name. :)
But I do know someone that did last year and I'll tell you this, everything I said above and more has happened to her because of her name change.

ya i would change my name. changing my name wouldn't really effect my life, because i'm still the same person! but maybe if i changed my name and moved somewhere then i'd be a different person, then no one would know what happened to the real me. that would be pretty cool.

I wouldn't because all the friends I have wouldn't get used to calling me by a new name, and I would have no need to change my name if I could.

If I really wanted to - I would have done it already...
I guess if I found out that I was the "third Sarah Conner in the phone book", then I would change it immediately after the first one get whacked ;);)

If I had to sign as many checks after changing it as I already have I would definitely change it to something quick and easy like Ned Slick or Cal Zort.

Yes, I would change my name. I think the biggest change would be getting friends and family to start calling me by my new name. Other than that, everything else would stay the same.

I would drop one of the 2 middle names I have. The one I just do not like at all.
Family middle names are not for me...

I wouldn't have chosen the name I have for myself, but since it was given to me with love I wouldn't want to hurt my parents feelings by changing it.
