Yes 25% immediately. Also, how long was your tank running prior to adding the fish? Gold fish are hearty, however no fish can withstand ammonia spikes.

Here is a great link to understand the cycling process as well as other great invo..

Doing regular water changes (once per week) of 25% along with vacing the gravel should be part of your maintenance schedule.

You may also want to get yourself a testing kit. Testing your own water will help you know what is going on in the tank even though you cannot see it.

Good luck with the two fish.

Well what kind of Goldfish are they ?
If they are comets the 12 cent kind then they will most likely die because they are kept with many other goldfishes and they are the most dirtiest fish which means they need good filtration. But most comets are sick when purchased .
If you plan to keep Goldfish you should buy the fancy ones such as [ Fantails ]

Remove all yr goldfish immediately n change all water n clean yr filter, let the tank run for 3 days b4 adding in new fishes, aquarium salt is important for new water, for yr sick fishes i suggest u quarantine them with medication which is green color in tablet form(cant remember the name but from USA)do not feed them for 3 days under medication.

if its the gold fish that are worth 10 cents. its impossible to keep them alive of over a month. you should change the water and get a filter if you dont have one already.

Probably so. Was your tank cycled before you added the goldfish? If not, they will die without almost daily water changes to keep the ammonia down while the tank does cycle.

If all of that doesn't mean a thing to you, here's a link that will explain what's going on in your tank and how to handle it

Hope that helps

Yes. 50% or more, lower than that you really won't have much impact. Feed a little less if your tank is cycling. Keep ammonia and nitrite under 1ppm by doing water changes. Don't clean your filter until your tank has cycled.

Have you tested the ph levels and put in water conditioner etc?
Maybe call the pet shop and ask what they suggest. You can get a number of products that you can add to the water if they are sick - depending on what the problem is ......
