If while using a condom you use Lube will it defeat the purpose of the condom? what are the chances of pregnancy?

Actually some lubricants will eat away at the condom. I really don't know the numbers on the chances of pregnancy but it is possible. Once a condom disintegrates sperm will get out and it could lead to pregnancy. If you use a water based lube then the condoms will be fine.

No, it will not defeat the purpose. It's next best thing to abstinence. Lube lessens the chance of the condom breaking, as a result, lessening the chances of pregnancy.

If anything, lube helps more with preventing pregnancy.
