the physical memory on your computer is your RAM (random access memory) it is located on your mother board which is inside the computer case. They are green sticks that stick out and are places parallel to each other in a vertical position. RAM is what people refer to as memory. Virtual memory is memory from your hard drive used as RAM. you can find the virtual memory by doig the following:right click my computer-->properties-->advanced-->setting under performance-->advacned-->look under virtual memory(it should be set to 1024 and max 2048 for better peformance). the amount of physical mmemory you have can be found by right clicking on my computer-->properties-->look at the amount of RAM
