I doubt it. I think more people would have voted for Mickey Mouse before voting for George W. Bush. But, members of the Bilderberg Conference decided long ago (probably at its 1998 meeting) that Bush/Cheney would 'win' the election. "We the people" have no real 'say' anymore - it's all designed to look like we do, but we don't. The wealthy elitists, corporate campaign contributors and politically influential determine who will be the next President. They have already determined who will 'win' the 2008 election. -RKO- 06/12/07

howdy, u . s . a . of america loves certainty exhibits! After as we communicate's installment of u . s . a . of america's Presidential financial Socialist financial device, starring anybody who's all of us, with flashing displays, cool photos and agitated newscasters, i can not wait to hearken to Bush declare an financial Emergency, wherein many nasty little surprises are in save for "taxpayers". McCain pulling out of the race to hurry to Washington after national polls propose ninety six% spoke back NO to the bailout. stay tuned for Bush's concern mongering, skill grabbing speech in basic terms hours from now!

addressing Jeremy ...
Here in australia ... it is compulsary to TURN UP TO VOTE and get your name crossed off .. whether you vote or not is entirely up to you ..you can scribble all over the ballot paper and because it's a secret ballot nobody would know if you have voted or not.
but for pete's sake .. stop whining about your FREEDOM's , and Freedom's lost .... if you can't be bothered to get your apathetic ar$es off the couch to vote .. then you get the leaders you deserve...
It isn't as if it is such an inconvenience to vote... NOT of you really believe in democracy
Now as to whether GWB would have been elected .. I have american friends that swear he wasn't actually elected THIS TIME ROUND... had something to do with the stupid system of Univeristy ( or is that College ???) so with the american system as it stands ... WHO KNOWS..

no, but then we would have lost another freedom - freedom to not vote if you don't want to - or if you don't pay attention to politics and you don't know the difference between george bush and al gore - you would just vote for whoever was better looking
