they have a few small animals and every now and again they have a charity event for the humane society or spca and adopt out cats and dogs.

Yes Petsmart has reptiles,cats, rodents, fish, and birds. They don't have dogs though.

WE have a petsmart where I live, and they do have some fish, a few birds and kittens & puppies.
perhaps it depends on where you live.

yes, but not many varieties.

they have like fish and hermit crabs, and hampsters and mice but no big animals like dogs and cats and rabbits. They just have a lot of supplies

I have noticed that some stores have more than others so, maybe they have bigger animals in some of them.

they don't have dogs and cats but they do have fish and other small animals that can be kept in tanks/cages

no but they have shelters come in and advertise what they have at their shelters .
