Well I went to my uncles house one day to finish up my project, and I stayed overnight. I was in their guest room when I slowly fell asleep (well, I wasn't "asleep", I was still in the phase of being half-asleep and half-awake). I was on my left side when all of a sudden my eyes opened wide awake, and my body started to become stiff. Then I heard whispers all around me, and the room turned dark, to a hue of red, and then back to darkness (it repeated this around 5 times). I couldn't even speak, and after about 10 seconds, I was free/my normal self. I then ran out of the room like hell and couldn't sleep the whole night. Can someone please tell me what happened? Because I believe that I was almost possessed or something (I assure you this ain't a joke...)

Yes its called astral catalepsy. Use to happen to me every night. Scared the **** out of me too. I would be paralysed laying there, hearing voices, Loud buzzing in my ear. Very scary. Your not possessed but search "Sleep paralyses" or " Astral Catalepsy" on the net. Some peopl esay its when your soul is leaving your body temporarily to explore the other side or just simply aroud your house. I prayed to God I wouldn't wakeup in the middle of these incidences. I do not doubt that what you experienced was as real to you as the keyboard I am typing on is to me.

What I think you were experiencing was the beginnings of a waking dream (consciously aware you are dreaming). Basicaly you were entering REM sleep but your brain was still aware of it's surroundings.
I say this because similar experiences have happened to me. I have yet to find an implant or probe or tinfoil hat.
The mind is the most powerful force known to man when it comes to perception of the surrounding environment and when wires cross, strange experiences happen.
I do believe in life other than on this planet. But even if there is more technologically advanced civillizations in the known universe, why would they come to our backwater community.

I'm not trying to ridicule you or what you believe happened to you.
To me, (for what it is worth) it sounds like you had a particularly vivid dream/nightmare. I suffer with them too. When you said your body became stiff, it could well be because you were so tense and frightened. You might have imagined the whispers.

What did you do for the rest of the night?

You Could have had a out of body experience, You could have been in a state of sleep paralyzeses, You also could have been In a multitude of different states.... So I am sorry to say that more information is needed.... Like were you moving in the air.. the voices you heard were they whispers or very loud....were the other object around you transparent or solid... Good luck............

this has happened to me before. It probably wasnt the same experience that i had. The red couldve been from squeezing your eyes shut way too hard. Being stiff.... I cant explain that.
