this planet.... I work a job where i talk to some extremely rude people and i cannot believe that people actually think it is ok to go around spewing anger and malice to make themselves feel better. I am so sick of peoples negative attitude and people that complain alllllllll the time...does anyone agree?

I agree. I've left 3 jobs because of it. My entire family was like that, & I left them 11 years ago as well.
It's completely ridiculous. But if you let it fire you up, you'll become one of those people as well.

I was standing in line at a restaurant the other day and the woman in front of me immediately turned around to me & began complaining & cursing about how slow the service was. With every minute she became more & more beligerent.
Finally, I interrupted her & said 'I'm in a happy mood. I think your behavior is rude & childish. If you wanted it that quickly, perhaps you should have prepared something at home. Show some dignity & self-respect. Stop complaining to me, you should apologize.'
She shut up immediately. When she left everyone in the restaurant thanked me. They said she is like that EVERY time she comes in & they are forced to smile & take her abuse.
I fight back. I've been sick of rude idiotic people ruining my joy & I don't put up with it anymore.

The problem with freedom is that so many peole forget that the freedom coin has an opposite side. We are free to say what we want but we have a duty to allow others their freedom and that includes being free from unwanted anger or negative attitudes.

However, having said all of that there's always going to be some jerks out there and we have to find a way to insulate ourselves from them. I get upset by rude angry people too but then again I have to remember that sometimes I'm the one who others think is being rude and while I may think that I have a perfectly good reason to be angry, others may not agree.

Compassion and tolerance will win out in the end but it has to come from both sides.

I do agree but if you have to deal with that daily then I would certainly look for a positive job so that those rude people don't rub off on you. You sound level headed and Yes I agree with you

People are rude because people are rude to them. It all spawned from people believing they are better than one another and multiplied, it now feeds itself. People also realise this and thus lots of them are selfish and only even more rude because of this. Its OK to be rude because everybody else is, horrible truth. (technically your complaining right now)

Yes I agree. I hate it when people go around telling mean things and making everyone unhappy! They do it because they are miserable and wont others to be miserable too.

Sorry to be the one to break this to you, but psychologically, what most annoys us about others are the things that we refuse to see in ourselves...
