Processor is Core Duo (32bit only) not Core2 Duo (32/64bit). BUT why worry. 64bit is more useful for server applications. Also for personal computing, there are a lot more drivers for 32bit operating system. You could run into drivers issues if you try 64bit OS on your laptop.

Make life easier and simpler, stick to 32 bit on your laptop.
