you dont want to mess up your book , get parchment/cooking paper
and put it to either side so that the parchment paper can absorb any stains and the clover wont stick to the book.
once dried you can put it in clear resin and make a pendant that you can wear out of it or a paperweight for your desk.

According to legend, each leaflet represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck.[4]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_leaf_clover
Here are some methods for preserving Four-leaf Clovers:
1. You can press and dry the leaf between pieces of paper and press it in a book.
2. You can press and dry the leaf between pieces of wax paper with a warm iron.
3. You can use a clear adhesive laminate attached to a card or paper backing.
4. You could also seal the leaf in a small jar of alcohol to preserve it. It will turn white and if you remove it from the alcohol, it will deteriorate.

Consider this...I have come to understand that four leaf clovers are just over fertilized three leafs. Like maybe a dog pooped there or something. So what do you 'do' with it? I guess you could eat it or find a bunch more and make a salad.

Maybe get one of those little laminating envelopes people use to preserve newspaper clippings. Press it in there and trim it to the size of a business card, and you can carry it in your wallet.

Keep it pressed in the book, and you will have it forever. You can also seal it in a "U Seal It", that's what they are called here. Its just clear, thick plastic that sticks together..(like what your drivers license is covered in, only thinner). Then you can cut the plastic small enough to keep in your wallet to carry your luck with you!
Congratulations!

See if you can get a sealable plastic sleave for it. They are pretty cool to keep as a bookmark. I once found two in one day while coffee-picking.

As an Irish...... press it in a book you wont lose.... Like the bible. Or keep it in a glass case. But you most definitely need to dry it out. So it wont wilt.
